Who we help...
At Maxton Specialist Services, we offer support and guidance for all tariff offenders (Lifers, IPP’S). Your license is for life- Maxton is for life. We want to help tackle the challenges that lie ahead by providing our clients with an innovative, creative, collaborative, and effective service that delivers quality results. We want to provide that extra support and advice our clients need after release.
Our experienced team...
Our Staff have worked within the Criminal Justice System, housing, employment, training, counselling and the community for over thirty years. They have a proven record of accomplishment and an excellent reputation for delivering innovative, professional, responsive, and effective services. They encourage personal learning and development and have the experience and knowledge to deliver those opportunities.
Our aim is to support our clients with finding accommodation, voluntary work, training and employment. We are committed to working with each individual and nurturing them towards the end goal of independence and being an integral part of the local community.
Our client needs...
Our client’s needs are central to our service delivery, but not every client is the same, therefore, the services we offer are individually tailored.

We support those individuals with a diverse offending history, including more serious offences (sexual), and those whose crimes may be less serious but who still need guidance and support. This will include those seeking or receiving treatment from other agencies for drug or alcohol problems.
During their sentence...
There will have been moments of despair and frustration with their progress; within the system, Probation or even lack of understanding from family members. Having an independent person who can mediate on our client's behalf can help move them in the right direction.

With our expertise and appreciation of their circumstances, we will endeavour to guide our clients in progressing through open conditions.
Open conditions...
Open conditions are considered an important part of a lifer’s sentence and an important goal to achieve. It is, however, not without difficulties. We will be there through this difficult time helping them progress. We will also support to our client's families; building relationships with them as they prepare towards their final parole and eventual release.
