I met Sheena 12 years ago before she started Maxton. Over the year’s she has always been there for me despite the distance. I was recalled to prison on an IPP and struggled.
My father was dying and when he passed away, I could not go to the funeral. I was devastated and my mental health deteriorated. To the point where I was suicidal.
Through Maxton I was given Intense Custodial Support with Marisa – she was really understanding and helped me through a bad time. Her advice was priceless I completed 12 sessions and it was life changing. I was able to make amends with my family and get my relationship with my partner back on track.
I am now working which fills me with pride. I worry daily about my IPP sentence. I am vigilant to the point where I have become a little reclusive. If it stops me going back to prison it is worth it.
